History & Staff
We have many years of experience caring for families from all walks of life. As leaders in the industry, families know they can count on us to provide them with the comfort they need when they need it the most.
Why Choose Us?

We've learned a lot about caring for families over the years. We realize that we aren't just caring for a loved one, but the entire family.
People come to us during their most difficult times, and we respond with kindness, understanding and expertise. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home as we work with them to create a memorable service in honor of a beautiful life.
Learn The Legacy
Skyway Memorial Gardens was established over 55 years ago on 41 acres of pristine countryside dotted with majestic oak trees and traditional Florida fauna. Today, the countryside has been transformed into beautiful manicured gardens that offer visitors beauty, peace and solace.
We consider it a great honor that our families have chosen to place their trust in us to care for their loved ones. We are committed to fulfilling that trust with compassion and gentleness.
Historically, Skyway has offered several forms of memorialization throughout our gardens. These choices include ground burial, community mausoleum, private family estates, cremation niches, cremation gardens with benches, memorial boulders and trees, and our recently completed new monument row garden.

Kimberly Meyers-Jamison
Location Manager
Read Bio
Kimberly R. Meyers-Jamison began her career in the funeral industry in 2009 after losing seven close family members and friends. After witnessing some beautiful funerals and some terrible ones, she realized that she could make a difference and ensure that everyone receive the funeral they deserve. Kim truly believes in the power of personalized funerals and believes “your death should tell your story just as much as your life.”
After graduating from mortuary school, Kim moved to northern Virginia where she was able to take care of our nation's veterans almost daily by going to Arlington or Quantico National Cemeteries.
Unhappy with the traffic of the DC area, Kim and her husband Bruce packed up and moved to Lakeland, Florida, where she began working at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa and then Skyway. Despite the long commute, Kim fell in love with Skyway and its potential as a Funeral Home and Cemetery. She looks forward to helping the families in Palmetto and the surrounding area. On Kim's days off you can find her taking care of her dogs Lucy and Hutch, eating all of Florida's amazing food, sharing memes, volunteering at the SPCA of Lakeland and enjoying trips to the beach.
