Our Story
We've learned a lot about caring for families over the years. We realize that we aren't just caring for a loved one, but the entire family. People come to us during their most difficult times, and we respond with kindness, understanding and expertise. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home as we work with them to create a memorable service in honor of a beautiful life.

Splendor for acres
Skyway Memorial Gardens was established over 55 years ago on 41 acres of pristine countryside dotted with majestic oak trees and traditional Florida fauna. Today, the countryside has been transformed into beautiful manicured gardens that offer visitors beauty, peace and solace.

Dedication, compassion & experience
We have built a reputation for excellence and are committed to creating a unique personalized experience for every individual. We know the importance of small details and assist in creating an experience that is just right for your needs and preferences. Whether it is a simple service or an elaborate one, we work diligently to ensure that it is a memorable experience.

One-stop convenience
Known for its dignity, peace and serenity, Skyway Memorial offers the one-stop convenience of an expansive funeral home and cemetery. Skyway offers several forms of memorialization throughout our gardens.

Brian Zipter
Area General Manager
Brian is a stand out patriot who proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He is passionate about being an American and serving veterans. Brian’s commitment to Skyway Memory Gardens is personal as his young daughter Brittany, who lost her battle with cancer is interred at our sister cemetery Sunset Memory Gardens. In 2016, he lost his 27-year-old son Stephen as well, who is also interred at Sunset. Brian has turned his adversities in life to fuel his unwavering desire to help families going through loss. Brian’s leadership has brought incredible upgrades and beautification to Skyway. He has been married for 37 years to his lovely wife, Patty. They had two sons and a daughter, and 3 grandchildren.

Kimberly Meyers-Jamison
General Manager
Kimberly R. Meyers-Jamison began her career in the funeral industry in 2009 after losing seven close family members and friends. After witnessing some beautiful funerals and some terrible ones, she realized that she could make a difference and ensure that everyone receive the funeral they deserve. Kim truly believes in the power of personalized funerals and believes “your death should tell your story just as much as your life.”
After graduating from mortuary school, Kim moved to northern Virginia where she was able to take care of our nation's veterans almost daily by going to Arlington or Quantico National Cemeteries.
Unhappy with the traffic of the DC area, Kim and her husband Bruce packed up and moved to Lakeland, Florida, where she began working at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa and then Skyway. Despite the long commute, Kim fell in love with Skyway and its potential as a Funeral Home and Cemetery. She looks forward to helping the families in Palmetto and the surrounding area. On Kim's very rare days off you can find her taking care of her dog Hutch, eating all of Florida's amazing food, sharing memes, volunteering at the SPCA of Lakeland and enjoying trips to the beach.

Evany Savage
Office Manager
Evany was born in Florida and has been a resident of Palmetto for more than 30 years. Her professionalism in administration management brings compassion and dignity to Skyway Memorial Gardens in the time of need for our friends and families.
She is dedicated to ensuring superior service to our community and dedicated to providing the best experience in the “not so” desirable times that we face.
She enjoys sharing a laugh or two, spending time with family, helping others and has never met a stranger. She is happily married and has three children, a dog and a cat.

Thank you so much for EVERYTHING. You are a very compassionate man. You helped me deal with dad's death better than I could have ever expected. Just taking the time for these videos shows that, even though the service is done, you still took extra time...bless you. Again, thanks for your help, J.C

Thank you Tracy for the flowers you put in our vases on Monday ( R.H.) Please understand that we blame no one - we were just surprised to see them gone again! There is no way to control such things in a place that size. We enjoyed the hot dogs. Have a great summer.
