Robert Weintraub

Robert Weintraub, age 89, left this world on July 19, 2018 at his home in Bradenton, Florida. Bob lived a long and full life which included 53 years of wedded bliss to his beloved Anita. Born on the threshold of the great depression, Bob entered the workplace at a young age and didn't stop working until well into his 70's. After a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps at the close of W.W. II, Bob attended Goodman Theater in Chicago where he fell in love with theatrical production. He became a successful salesman, but always maintained a connection to the performing arts, whether entertaining in community theater, film, t.v., and of course, story and joke telling. A self-proclaimed "raconteur", Bob was an easy going guy who had the rare quality of connecting with and being loved by virtually everybody who ever met him. Preceded in death by his wife, Anita, he is survived by his brother Fred, sister Beverly, three sons, Larry (Renee), Mark (Gigi), and Ian (Cindy), the 2 daughters he wished he could have had (Patricia and Sara), four enormously cherished grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends around the country. Funeral will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, July 24 at 1pm. Bob has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his final theatrical conquest, The Manatee Performing Arts Center in Bradenton, FL. Cue curtain...
