Yasmine Said Wahb returned to God on Dec. 4, 2016 after a long, valiant fight against cancer. She was a devout Muslim, closely following the teachings of God. The embodiment of kindness and empathy, she was the selfless wife of Hussein Hassan and beloved mother of Ahmed (Crystal) and Mohanned and grandmother to Layla. Yasmine was born Oct. 27, 1958 to Said Wahb and Thurraya Hassan. She is also survived by her brother Mohamed and sisters, Amani and Hala. She is survived locally by her extended family, Dr. Samir (Linda) Hassan, Hany (Ola) Hassan and nieces Samira and Farrah. In Egypt, she is loved and survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Yasmine was a devoted teacher at the Universal Academy of Florida for 23 years and will be dearly missed by hundreds of students and faculty members who considered her as a mother, sister, and a dear friend. The family wishes to thank all her doctors and nurses who took care of Yasmine during her battle with cancer over the numerous years. The funeral and burial was held on Monday the 5th at Skyway Memorial Gardens and the family wishes to thank all who were able to attend. A remembrance service will be held on this Saturday the 10th, contact the family for information. Yasmine Said Wahb, 58, of Bradenton passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 4th, 2016 at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She leaves behind her husband Hussein Hassan and a loving family who will always miss her. Traditional services will be at ISSB on Monday December 5th at 2:00pm followed by interment at Skyway Memorial Gardens at 3:30pm.
